1. Prepare for your adventure:

            * Visit an official geocaching online site - www.geocaching.com or www.navicache.com.

            * Invite a geocacher to your meeting.

            * Attend a geocaching event.

 

2. Learn to use a GPS receiver:

            * Find the GPS coordinates of three things in your neighborhood.

            * Hide an item for a friend to find.

            * Go on a photo hunt. Use photos and coordinates to follow a trail.

 

3. Make a trade item:

            * Make something that represents Girl Scouts.

            * Make a piece of jewelry.

            * Make something that represents you.

 

4. Go on a geocaching adventure:

            * Make it a hiking adventure.

            * Take a multi-cache adventure.

            * Go on a themed adventure.

 

5. Take part in a bug's travels:

            * Get a Travel Bug and ask for it to travel internationally. Track your bug.

            * Hide a bug with the goal to travel to Girl Scout or Girl Guide places.

            * Track an existing bug through geocaching.com. Find one that's been to at least 4 places. Find them on   a map.
